Fernando Paredes García uses to travel around America(the continent) to promote Drupal and Free/Libre Open Source Software (not a big deal for a “Lazy Guinea Pig”). He has contributed over 20 modules to the Drupal project and is the original author of The Ophal Project, a Lua powered web platform.

In 2008 he founded the Drupal Peru community. During 2009 he organized the Software Freedom Day in Lima, Peru. Also, along with Nancy @Joyita Contreras, they organized the very first Drupal Summit Latino in Lima, Peru, held on January 2011; the event was a great success, gathering attendees from 19 countries, which started the Drupal Latina community.

Among several other volunteer activities, it is worth to mention his participation in the Drupal Association as Permanent Member from March 2010 to August 2011 and as Advisory Board from October 2011 to September 2012. He has been President of Comité Drupal Perú from April to August 2011. In his spare time he is “Líder de Célula” (spiritual leader) in the evangelical church Iglesia “La Vid” in Lima, Peru.

Fernando is currently DrupalPicchu 2014 “chair”, the first event inspired by the Drupalcon 2.0 initiative.
