It might not be new to you since got migrated to Ophal and deployed to production on January 2th 2014, but I wanted to make it official. Yet it was not a complete migration, there were no route aliases feature (equivalent to Drupal url aliases) by then, nor a comments module, so decided to make progress yesterday.

What is left is to import the old blocks, but there is not a block or panels module in Ophal, hopefully that might happen soon.

One interesting fact is that this is the 4th migration in the history of

  1. Started as a blog in Blogspot, manually migrated to Drupal 5 on 2007
  2. Migrated from Drupal 5 to 6 sometime between 2009 and 2010
  3. Migrated from MySQL to PostgreSQL on 2011
  4. Migrated from Drupal 6 to Ophal 0.1 on 2014

The first round of this recent migration took a lot of “SQL fun” using LuaDBI, and the second was way easier with the help of Ophal migrate module.

Would like to highlight that this new version of my blog is quite smaller. It consumes ~10x less RAM and so little CPU that is not possible to measure, not only because Lua is 10x faster than PHP, but because Ophal is so small!
